The worst thing with a Hilux is they didnt have LSD,u could stop in a pis puddle and the drive wheel would just spin and u got nowhere...The navara beats all 3 toyotas put together...my decision to get another Navara was the easiest EVER.....there was no other consideration....Joe

Yeah, reckon I might make my next one a Datsun.......................NOT.
One of our members on here who I won't name for privacy reasons has a Navara (D40), hit a roo back around October & did a little bit of frontal damage including the intercooler, I was told on the weekend it looks like being written off because they can't get an intercooler for it, he's had to drive it around for the last 3 months with the faulty one all this time, good after sales service hey?

I stand to be corrected, but i always thought all 4x4s came with a LSD in the rear.
It's pretty common for limited slip diffs to stop working after a bit of use.
You won't find out until you need it.
To check just jack up one of the rear wheels, you should be able to drive it off the jack (without destroying the jack hopefuly).

Absolute crap, even the most basic 4x4 hilux, the sr petrol 5 speed manual comes with a lsd as standard equipment.

the 1kz-te hilux has an excellent rear LSD. Id say you'd be wasting
your money buying rear lockers, front lockers would be enough.
