Ha Ha Ha, little noah it all, gee you crack me up mate.
You seem to be the biggest know it all on the site from what I've seen. Maybe you just like an arguement, I don't know.
I do know, even your mates have told you, you make yourself look like a knob, arguing with people in the game with years and years of expierence. But of course, you drive a Navara, you must know best. What would mechanics know.
A Navara can tow more weight and is cheaper, shit it must be good.
Ever considered the fact they're cheaper for a reason?

Noah,You took the first shot, never said anything whatsoever to you so you felt you had to have a crack at me. This is someones elses post so no real need to hijack it.
I will say however all i ever questioned in the other post was Toyota, obviously a touchy issue with alot of people ( i see the super poll was removed).
Never tried to defend my choice ( in fact said i first looked at Toyota), only pointed out Navara could tow 3 tonne and was 15k cheaper in line i might add with most of toyota's opposition. (obviously cheaper cause they are shit now i know)
So harden up princess and build a bridge.
Zob you show facts instead of bullsht and maybe then you could start a post telling the world how good you are, obviously have you no proof but your willing to drag it out.
Would also love a link to all the clutch problems you talk about with the Nissans because there was very little on the Navara site.

Heres some more from Vicroads (as obviously Hayman Reese the towbar specialists dont know what they are on about) Zob, it does say caravan but it would be safe to assume this means all trailers.

Regulations
As well as having a registered and roadworthy caravan and towing vehicle, owners need to be aware of load limits.

Under no circumstances should the total mass of the loaded caravan exceed the lesser of:

•the maximum mass as specified by the caravan manufacturer;
•the towing limits recommended by the towing vehicle’s manufacturer; or
•the rating of the towbar.

Exceeding these limits is illegal and can also void both mechanical warranties and insurance cover. More information on towing weights is specified in Towing Trailers (PDF 71KB).

Further regulations also prevent:

•anything to be towed behind the caravan;
•anyone riding in the caravan while it's in motion;
•towbar equipment obstructing the vehicle number plate when the caravan has been disconnected.

If you are travelling interstate with your caravan, check individual State or jurisdiction regulations with the relevant authority, before you leave.

Only a standard driver licence is required to tow a caravan. P-platers can tow caravans but L-platers cannot.

I think you've missed the point mate. I just said I find it amusing how many people think they know enough to argue with the mechanics.
And I never said any particular vehicle was shit, just not as good as Toyota. As I said, even the mechanics will tell you that. Not that you'd believe a mechanic but hey mate, you know better.

What bullshit, Stroked? I've only given links to GVM upgrades....and asked if by doing that you increase towing capacity, or is there another way? All you've done is given links that repeatedly tell us that you must not exceed the manufacturer's limit. I'm not disputing that, I'm asking why you believe that the manufacturer's limit cannot be increased.

I'm not the one telling people that their statements are "laughable", or "bullshit". I'm not that smart as you. wink-fish.gif

Iodka's statement is "laughable"
Fact : A standard Navara can tow more than 2.5 tonne.
He said it cant and he offers no facts to support it.

Taken from your own post

Quote:
The loaded mass of the trailer must not exceed the lesser of:
Rated capacity of the towbar and tow coupling.
Maximum towing capacity of the vehicle.
Maximum carrying capacity of the trailer.
Maximum rated carrying capacity of the tyres.

Still no link for all these clutch problems confused-fish.gif confused-fish.gif
(that should give you something to do today)

No, you actually said "you shouldn't argue with stroked, he knows all there is to know about cars. Even more than the mechanics from what I've seen."
Youve seen nothing, you dont know me you have just obviously had a read of a post and formed an opinion.
